The Emory men's golf team completed its participation at the 34th annual Navy Spring Invitational on Sunday. The 36-hole event was held at the 6,611-yard, par-71 Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Maryland.
Junior Alec Berens wound up the event as Emory's top performer with a two-day score of 11-over par 153 (76-77) that tied for 29th place in the 105-player field. Sophomore Alex Wunderlich was next up on the team's score sheet with a 158 (77-81) that tied for 57th, while senior David Collura (161) and junior Jonathan Chen (163) rounded out the team's scorers. Junior Will Roth finished at 164.
Joe Gunerman of Towson State won medalist honors using a strong second-round effort of two-under 69 to finish at 144, one stroke ahead of Evan Beck of Wake Forest and Trevor Cone of Virginia Tech.
