Took part in two competitions ... Played for the Emory "B" Team at its Spring Invitational (Apr. 8) and recorded an 18-hole score of 78 ... Also saw action in the Emory-Olgethorpe dual match (Feb. 17) and posted a 36-hole score of 163 (78-85). 

Prior To Emory:
Played two seasons of golf for Paine College, a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference ... Helped his team to conference championships in 2012 and 2013 ... Two-time member of the SIAC All-Academic Team. 

High School:
Three-year member of the golf program at the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico ... Averaged 75.8 strokes per round his final year.

Son of Victor Tapia and Silvia Poma ... Majors in economics .
