Fresh off its participation at the University Athletic Association Championships, the Emory University golf team continues its spring season  this weekend (Mar. 13-15) when it competes at the prestigious Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.  The 54-hole event will be played on the Pine Lakes Course and serving as the host institution will be Oglethorpe University.

Emory will be one of 30 teams in this year's talent-stacked field. Four of Division III's top five programs will be in the hunt for the title including No. 1 UT-Tyler, No. 2 Oglethorpe, No 3 Methodist and No. 5 Illinois Wesleyan, the two-time defending champion of the tourney.  Other top-10 teams taking to the course include No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and No. 9 LaGrange College.

Emory is coming off a third-place finish at the UAA Championship, posting a 36-hole score of 632.  Sophomore Keenan Hickton (Pittsburgh, PA) was Emory's top performer with his fifth-place finish (75-78—153) enabling him to claim First Team All-UAA honors.
