The Emory University golf team returns to action on Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 30-31) when it participates in the Wynlakes Intercollegiate. The 36-hole tourney will be held at the 6,894-yard, par-72 Wynlakes Golf and Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama. Serving as the host will be Huntingdon College.
Emory is one of 10 schools that will be competing in this year's event. Among the squads taking to the course will be No. 7-ranked LaGrange, who finished runner-up at last season's Intercollegiate. Guilford College and Rhodes College, both ranked 11th nationally, are also in the field along with Cal Lutheran, Huntingdon, Ferrum, Sewanee, Maryville and Covenant College.
Emory last played at Jekyll Island Invitational (Mar. 13-15), recording a 25th-place finish with a 54-hole score of 921. Freshman Keenan Hickton paced the Eagles with a five-over par mark of 221 that placed 19th out of 150 players.
