Emory Golf Closes Out Regular Season At Wolfpack Open

The Emory golf team returns to action on Saturday and Sunday (Apr. 18-19) when it travels to Raleigh, NC, to compete in the Wolfpack Spring Open.  The 36-hole tourney will be played on the 7,284 yard, par-72 Lonnie Poole Golf Course.  Tee times are slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Eagles will be the lone D-III program among the 14 teams taking part in the event with the bulk of the competition coming from the Division I ranks.  Host North Carolina State holds down the No. 48 spot in the most recent D-I Golfstat  rankings while Big Ten member Maryland comes in at No. 76.

Emory last played, Apr. 6-7, when it tied for sixth place out of 13 teams at its Spring Invitational at the Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville.
Junior Vince Sirianni (Blue Bell, PA) ranked as the Eagles' top performer, tying for third place in the 72-player field with a one-over par 145 (75-70).

The Lonnie Poole Golf Course hosted the 2014 NCAA Men's Regional and will host the 2015 NCAA Women's Regional and the 2018 NCAA Men's Regional.
