Emory freshman Connor Yakubov (Columbus, OH) has been selected by the University Athletic Association as Golfer of the Week following his performance at the  Emory Spring Invitational (Apr. 10-11), which was played at the Smoke Rise Country Club in nearby Stone Mountain.  It marks the third time this season that he has been selected for the award.

Yakubov was the Eagles' top performer, posting a 36-hole score of one-over par 141 that placed third in the 80-player field.  His play helped the Eagles to a fourth-place finish out of 13 teams. Yakubov carded an even-par 70, his best effort of the campaign, on Sunday before closing out with a 71 the following day.  His effort at the Invitational represented the fourth time in eight tournaments during the entire season that he ranked as Emory's top scorer. 

Yakubov ranks second on the squad with an average of 74.6 strokes over 17 rounds of play.
