Men's Golf Places Sixth at Rain-Shortened Shorter Hawk Invitational

The Emory University men's golf B team earned a sixth place finish at the Shorter Hawk Invitational after the second day was canceled due to inclement weather. The 18-hole event was played at the 6,809-yard, par-72 Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, GA.

The Eagles finished the first and only day with a score of 313. The Shorter University B team took home gold in the eight-team field with a 290 score while Cleveland State CC (296) and Oglethorpe B (298) rounded out the podium.

Senior Nick Paschetto shot a team high 72 in the one round of action that was able to be played, good for a fifth place tie. Freshman Josh Qian and sophomore Tarun Hoskere didn't finish far behind as they tied for 16th place shooting a 76. Freshmen Prayaag Oruganti and Michael Burry also finished knotted up with a score of 77 to earn them a tie for 21st. Sophomore Logan Lowery carded a solid 79 which saw him tied for 29th at the end of the first round. Rounding out scoring for the Eagles were freshman Nicholas Nautiyal and junior Grant Drogosch who each posted a score of 81.

The Eagles are back in action next week with the 54-hole D3 Showcase in French Lick, IN on Monday, April 11th and Tuesday, April 12th.
