The Emory University men's golf team shifted to The Legacy Golf Club Wednesday afternoon for the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships and was one of 18 teams to advance to the final rounds after making the cut.

After shooting a near-program record on Tuesday to finish second in the team scoring, Eagles shifted down four spots to end Wednesday in the sixth position following a 14-over 302 second round. Emory, now at -2 for the tournament, will open Thursday 11 strokes behind the University of Redlands which used an even score in the second round to hold down the top spot at -13.

Senior Jackson Klutznick, who established a new NCAA DIII tournament record on Tuesday, paced the Eagles again on Wednesday as he carded a one-over 73. Through two rounds, Klutznick is tied for second in the individual standings with his seven-under 137.

Sophomore Brian Hanson finished two strokes behind Klutznick, posting a three-over 75 behind two birdies and 12 pars. For the tournament, Hansen stands tied for 51^st at 146.

Juniors Tony Li and Michael Burry each recorded 77s across their 18 holes on Wednesday. Li's afternoon consisted of 13 pars while Burry navigated around nine boogeys to go along with two birdies, six pars and had one of the highlights of the afternoon with his eagle on the par-5 hole 17. Li will enter round three in a tie for 31^st with Burry tied for 54^th.

Freshman Kevin Mu closed out the day two scorers with his six-over 78. Mu rounded out his day with a strong back nine featuring two birdies and six pars after his front nine saw him register a pair of double boogeys and three boogeys. He'll look to improve on his T-79^th standing when he is the first to tee off Thursday morning.

The Eagles will begin teeing off at 8:45 AM PT in the third round as the tournament moves back to Boulder Creek Golf Club.
