Freshman Jake Davis turned in a pair of
back-to-back double-figure scoring efforts off the bench as the
Eagles recorded a split of a pair of UAA road contests. In
Friday’s overtime game vs. Brandeis, the 6-foot-5 Davis
logged 31 minutes and tied for team-high honors with 16 points,
hitting seven-of-14 from the floor, and was the club’s
second-high rebounder with seven boards. In Sunday’s
87-78 triumph over New York University, Davis was second high on
the team with 15 points and snared six rebounds. He converted
seven-of-11 of his field goal tries en route to his fourth straight
and 14th double-figure scoring game of the season.
In the two games, he shot 56.0 percent (14-of-25) from the floor,
averaged 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.
So far this year, he is averaging 13.6 points per outing, good for
the No. 3 spot on the team and 10th in the UAA, and his
50.6 percent mark from the floor tops the team and also ranks
10th among UAA players.
