Senior Austin Claunch averaged a team-high 23.5 points, 9.0
assists and 2.0 steals in a pair of road games. In a
103-102 setback at Chicago, the 5-foot-9 Claunch tossed in a
team-high 24 points and dished out nine assists in 27 minutes of
action. He hit nine-of-12 from the floor, including
three-of-four from three-point range. He followed that effort
with a team-high 23 point, nine-assist outing against Washington
University. Claunch logged 39 minutes of action and converted
eight-of-16 from the field, including four-of-six from beyond the
arc, en route to his ninth contest of 20 or more points this
season. In the two games, he was successful on 60.7 percent
(17-of-28) of his field goal attempts and 63.6 percent (7-of-11)
from three-point range.
