Sophomore Jake Davis spearheaded the No. 13-ranked Eagles to three wins that upped the team’s overall record to 5-0.  The 6-foot-5 Davis averaged a team-highs in  points (23.0 ppg), rebounds (7.0 rpg) and field goal percentage (.643), ending the week hitting 27-of-42 attempts from the floor.  Davis led the team in scoring in two contests, totaling 21 points (tied for team lead with six rebounds), hitting nine-of-14 from the floor in just 20 minutes of action in a 95-63 win over Berry College.  He followed that effort with a career-high 33 points, 10-rebounds (game high) effort in a 107-89 triumph over LaGrange College.  He sank 14-of-18 from the field, tying the fifth-highest game total in school annals, and his point total was the highest individual mark during coach Jason Zimmerman’s tenure at Emory. He closed out the week with a 15-point afternoon in a 75-61 triumph over Maryville.
