Alex Greven

Alex Greven

Junior Alex Greven averaged a team-high 26.5 points and 5.0 rebounds as the Eagles split a pair of UAA road games.  The 6-foot-3 Greven led all players with a season-high 27 points and tied for team honors with six boards at Carnegie Mellon and followed that effort with a game-high 26 points and four rebounds in 26 minutes of action in a 105-71 win at Case Western.  Greven, who scored 15 second-half points against CMU, sank 11-of-16 from the field against the Tartans, including three-of-seven from three-point range, and both of his free throw attempts..  Against CWRU, he continued his hot-shooting ways, knocking down nine of his 15 field goal attempts, including four-of-eight from beyond the arc. His 26 points against Case was his second straight and fourth outing of 20 or more points this season.  In the two games combined, he connected on 64.5 percent (20-of-31) of his field goal opportunities and was successful on 46.7 percent (7-of-15) from downtown.  In addition, he went six-for-six from the charity stripe and has made 25-of-27 free throws over the last seven contests.
