Senior Alex Gulotta helped the No. 9-ranked
Eagles remain undefeated by registering a season-high 20 points in
a 60-54 victory at Oglethorpe University in the squad’s lone
action of the week. The 6-foot-1 Gulotta concluded the game
hitting seven-of-17 from the field, including six-of-15 from
three-point range, in helping the team boost its record to 8-0, the
first time in school history that an Emory team has won its opening
eight games. Gulotta holds down the No. 3 spot on the team in
scoring with an 11.1 per-game average and has scored in double
figures on four occasions. He has knocked down a team-high 22 three
pointers this year and is shooting 38.6 percent (22-of-57) from
beyond the arc.
