Senior Jake Davis led the Emory men's basketball team in scoring at the Black Tie Classic hosted by Birmingham Southern.
The 6-foot-5 Davis averaged 20.5 points per game and shot 53.8
percent (14-of-26) from the floor and 83.3 percent (10-of-12) from
the foul line as the Eagles split a pair of contests.
In a 67-53 triumph over Spalding, Davis led all players with 18
points, sinking six-of-12 from the floor and five-of-six from the
charity stripe. He followed that performance with a game-high
tying 23 points, 17 coming in the second half, sinking eight of his
14 field goal opportunities and five-of-six from the stripe as
Emory fell short to host BSC, 90-76.
