Senior McPherson Moore helped the Eagles to home UAA victories
over New York University and Brandeis.
Moore averaged a team-high 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, tying for the
No. 2 spot on the club, and shot a team-leading 55.2 percent
(16-of-29) from the field in helping Emory raise its overall record
to 17-7, 9-4 in the league.
Moore paced the Eagles with 22 points, 15 in the opening half, and
grabbed five boards against NYU in an 86-77 triumph. He hit on
eight-of-17 from the floor, including three three-point field
goals, and was successful on three of his four free throw
opportunities. He followed that performance with a game-high
25 points in an 85-80 Senior Day decision over Brandeis, sinking
eight field goals in 12 attempts, including both of his triple
tries, and seven-of-eight from the charity stripe. He also grabbed
a season-high tying seven rebounds. His point total
represented his fourth straight and 10th performance of the
campaign of 20 or more points.
