Senior McPherson Moore averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in helping the Eagles to road wins over Carnegie Mellon and Case Western Reserve University.
In a 100-86 decision over Carnegie Mellon, Moore was second high on the team in scoring with 24 points, hitting seven-of-12 from the floor, including four-of-six from three-point range, while sinking all six of his free throw attempts. He followed that effort by pacing the Emory scoring attack vs. Case Western, registering 20 points, converting eight-of-15 floor attempts, including two triples in four tries. It represented the eighth time this year he had totaled 20 or more points in a game. In addition, he tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
Moore ended the weekend shooting 55.6 percent from the field (15-of-27), which included a 60 percent mark (6-of-10) from beyond the arc.
