Senior Alex Foster led the Emory men's basketball team in scoring as the Eagles emerged with a pair of home wins over the weekend.
Foster was the squad's top scorer in each of Emory's victories, totaling a game-high 24 points in a 78-65 decision over Case Western Reserve and a game-best 16 points in a 79-53 triumph vs. Carnegie Mellon. The two wins raised the Eagles' overall record to 13-3, 3-2 in the UAA.
Foster was successful on seven-of-14 field goal attempts against CWRU, including four-of-six from three-point range, and knocked down six free throws in seven opportunities en route to his 11th performance of 20 more points. He followed that with a 16-point effort, 14 coming in the first half as the Eagles bolted to a 43-11 halftime lead, and sank a pair of triples, extending his streak to 16 games with at least one trey to his credit, tying the 11th-longest effort in program history.
Foster has scored in double figures in all 16 contests and ranks as the UAA's leading scorer with a 22.9 points per game average.
