Senior Josh Schattie helped the Emory men's basketball team to a 2-1 record over a three-game stretch.

Schattie tied for the team lead with a 7.7 per-game mark in rebounding while tossing in 9.3 points per contest as the Eagles opened with a setback on the road to Piedmont College before regrouping to claim wins over Trinity University (TX) and the University of La Verne at the Lopata Classic in Saint Louis. 

Schattie was one of three Emory double-figure scorers with 14 points, sinking seven-of-nine from the floor, while ranking second on the squad with nine rebounds in an 83-74 victory over Trinity.  He followed that effort with a game-high 10 rebounds, his second double-figure game in that category this year, and chipped in eight points in an 80-59 triumph over La Verne.

Entering a Dec. 10 game at Covenant College, Schattie is fourth on the team in scoring (8.9 ppg) and second in rebounding with a 7.6 per-game effort, which is good for the No. 7 spot on the league ladder.
