Emory University senior Jake Graetz accounted for the game-winning goal in both of the Eagles’ victories at the Sonny Carter Invitational. On Saturday, Graetz broke a 1-1 tie in the second half against Illinois Wesleyan University, scoring on a header off a Zach Samuels free kick, en route to a 3-1 win. On Sunday, the midfielder led Emory to a 3-0 win, scoring the first goal of the game off a Samuels corner kick. After one week, Graetz is tied for the team lead in goals, after leading all Emory players with 10 goals last season. Graetz, the team co-captain, has helped Emory to a 3-0-0 start in 2010.
