Emory Men's Soccer Headed Back to NCAA Tournament; Will Host Opening Rounds

The Emory University men's soccer team was one of 20 teams selected for an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament marking the Eagles first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2017. Emory will host four teams for the sectional portion (first and second rounds) of the NCAA tournament.

The No. 17 ranked Eagles (9-3-4) will match up against the Colonels of Centre (10-5-3) in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Saturday, November 13th. Emory and Centre have matched up four times in the past, with the Eagles sporting a 0-3-1 record, most recently falling to the Colonels 1-0 on September 11, 2015. In addition to Centre, Emory will be joined by Lynchburg (15-4-1) and Hanover (14-4-1) in its four-team pod. The Hornets will take on the Panthers in the second game at the Woodruff PE Center on Emory's campus on Saturday. The winners of the first two matches will face off at 3:00 PM on Sunday afternoon.

This marks Emory's 17th overall appearance in the NCAA tournament and second under Head Coach Cory Greiner. To see the entire field of 64-teams, please click here.
