Graduate student Thomas Toney solidified the Emory defensive unit this weekend in the opening rounds of the NCAA tournament. Toney and the Eagles' backline held Brevard to just one shot on goal over 90 minutes in the team's 3-0 win on Saturday. On Sunday, Toney and the defense held Colorado College to five shots on frame, including none in overtime, as Emory was able to mount a comeback and force the game into a penalty shootout.
