Freshman (2007-08):

Bernstein made an immediate impact on the Eagles during his freshman campaign, earning his first all-America honor with a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly at the NCAA Division III National Championship meet.  He also earned an all-America honorable mention with a 10th-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle.  Bernstein recorded the top-Emory time in the 200-yard butterfly during the season (the sixth-fastest time in school history), and was the third-best performer on the squad in both the 200- and 1,000-yard freestyles.  He scored 248.50 points during the campaign, the sixth-most on the team.
