Freshman (2007-08):
During his freshman campaign with the Eagles, Spooner qualified for three events at the NCAA Division III Championships. He finished 21st in the 200-yard backstroke, 26th in the 400-yard individual medley, and 27th in the 100-yard backstroke. Spooner was the top competitor on the team with a time of 1:53.94 in the 200-yard backstroke, third on the team in the 100-yard backstroke, and fourth on the squad in the 400-yard individual medley. Spooner scored 156.50 points during the year, the 13th-best total on the team.
