A word to describe me away from the pool: Ambitious

My most memorable athletic moment was: Slipping as I stepped up onto the block, landing on my back on deck, and having Michael Phelps, Lenny Krayzelburg, and Ian Crocker help me up. How embarrassing!

My most memorable Emory athletic moment: Rockin' the 200 free at the 2008 NCAA Championship

What I like most about Emory:  The quality of the food at the DUC.

I would like to switch places for the day with: (Teammate) Brad Sloan on a Friday.

My favorite place on the Emory campus: The bridge to the reading room

Favorite pro athlete:  Javy Lopez (from the Braves, NOT the Red Sox)

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: The Charleston Rainbows

My favorite class at Emory and why: Barrier Islands, because of the field trips. 

Any pre-meet rituals:  I try not to think about my race until I'm behind the block. So I guess that's a no.

The sport I would be playing if I were not on the swimming & diving team: Rock-climbing.

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: Yoda, the Dalai Lama, and my dad.

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you: I HATE stepping on cracks, or on boundaries in general. The bike machines on the bottom floor of the Woodpec are the WORST because the spacing is just long enough to make me have to almost jump to the locker room every morning to avoid stepping in front of them.

My most memorable athletic moment was: Breaking my team record in the 500 Free as a high school senior on senior night.

My most memorable Emory athletic moment: Keeping up with Emory all-American Keith Diggs in the 1000 Free at my first dual meet as an Eagle.

What I like most about Emory: The swim team, the weather, the campus

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: Steelers

Psychology Seminar on Social Influence because the class size is small and the teacher is awesome.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why:
The seniors on the team - they are motivating during practice and are always there for me if I need advice.

The sport I would be playing if I were not on the swimming & diving team: Tennis.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: My Head Coach Jon Howell, because of the focus and responsibility he instills within Emory swimmers

My favorite class at Emory and why: Freshman Seminar: Money and Central Banks, because the professor was great and I had a lot of fun in the class.  

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: My friends, because there is a friend always there for you when you need it.

The sport I would be playing if I were not on the swimming & diving team: Tennis or Lacrosse, maybe both.

My most memorable athletic moment was: 2006 Y.M.C.A. National Swimming Championships for many reasons.

What I like most about Emory: The fact that it is the perfect institution for me.

I would like to switch places for the day with: Charlie Kelly.  I'd like to see if I could walk a mile in his shoes.

My favorite place on the Emory campus: Well, the grassy knoll triangulated by Trimble, Means, and Longstreet no longer exists.  So I guess I have to find an alternate favorite place.

Favorite pro athlete: Lebron James

The sports teams I followed when I was younger: The Ohio State Buckeyes

My favorite class at Emory and why: World War II in Europe with Dr. Kronenbitter.  I do not think I could learn more in one class.

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: [Former Emory Swimmer] Alex Levinger - he gave me a piece of advice my first day on campus that has kept me healthy and happy till this day.

Any pre-meet rituals: All I need is to slap one good high-5.

The sport I would be playing if I were not on the swimming & diving team: Scrabble?

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: John Lennon, Chevy Chase, and Kurt Vonnegut

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you: "In the eternal words of Mick Jagger, ‘you can't always get what you want.'"-- My Father.  I did not get it until I was about 14 years old.

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you: When I was 5 years old, while pretending to drive my Mom's station wagon, I put the car in neutral, rolled backwards down the driveway, and hit a neighbor's car.  Other than that I have nothing to hide.
