Emory University junior Patrick Augustyn recorded five top-three finishes and one NCAA ‘B’ cut time during the Emory Fall Invitational last weekend. Augustyn finished first out of 40 swimmers in the 200-yard butterfly, winning the event with an NCAA ‘B’ cut time of 1:53.48. He would finish first as part of two Emory relays as well, swimming the butterfly leg of the Eagles’ 200-yard medley relay (1:36.70) and the 400-yard medley relay (3:31.12). Augustyn would also score for Emory with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:26.87), a third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (50.87 seconds) and a 10th-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley (2:00.51). He totaled 35.5 points for Emory during the meet, helping the Eagles to a first-place team finish with 405 total points.
