Emory Swimming & Diving to Wrap-Up its Dual Meet Season against Clemson

Emory Swimming & Diving to Wrap-Up its Dual Meet Season against Clemson

The Emory University will host its final dual meet of the 2010-11 campaign this weekend, welcoming NCAA Division I Clemson University to the Woodruff P.E. Center on Saturday, February 5th at 1:00 PM.

Saturday's meet will be webcasted for free at http://go.emory.edu/Webcasts/SwimWebcast.html.  Fans interested in viewing the webcast will need to download the free version of RealPlayer from real.com.

The top-ranked Emory women will enter the meet with an overall record of 4-3 in dual meets this season, including a victory over Wingate University, the 15th-ranked Division II team, last Saturday.  The second-ranked Emory men are 3-4 in dual meets this year, following their loss to 11th-ranked Wingate last weekend.

The Clemson men, who received four votes in the latest NCAA Division I poll, are 4-2 this year, while the women are 3-3.

The two squads last faced each other in a dual meet during the 2001-02 season, as the Eagles suffered losses to both Tiger teams.

Saturday will also be 'Senior Day' for the Eagles, as the team will honor its four graduating seniors from the men's team - Mark Bernstein, Justin Leemis, Mackenzie Perry, and Matt Spooner - and seven from the women's team - Sylvie Curci, Liz Horvat, Marie Kim, Morgan Klinzing, Amy Minowitz, Katie Mroz, and April Whitley - during the meet.
