Eagles to Wrap-Up Dual Meet Season at Clemson

Eagles to Wrap-Up Dual Meet Season at Clemson

The Emory University swimming and diving team will compete in its final dual meet of the 2011-12 season on Saturday, as the Eagles will face Clemson University at 1:00 PM in Clemson, SC.

The meet will hold special meaning for both squads, as it will mark the final dual meet and home meet in the history of the Clemson swimming and diving program, which will be phased out at the end of this season.  Emory head coach Jon Howell served as an assistant on the Clemson staff for two seasons before coming to Emory, helping the squad to an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship.

The third-ranked Emory men will enter the meet with a dual meet record of 2-5 on the season, while the top-ranked Emory women currently stand at 3-5.  Both teams are coming off close losses to Georgia Tech last Saturday.

The Clemson men stand at 5-3 on the season, while the women are 5-3.

Results and a recap from the meet will be posted to EmoryAthletics.com following the completion of competition on Saturday.
