Emory University sophomore Hayden Baker notched a pair of NCAA ‘B’ cut times during the fifth-ranked Eagles’ dual meet against Division I Georgia Tech on Saturday. Baker was Emory’s top finisher in the 100-yard butterfly, claiming third place with a provisional qualifying 50.36 seconds. He also finished third in the 200-yard butterfly with an NCAA ‘B’ cut time of 1:52.74. Baker added an eighth-place finish as the leadoff leg of the Eagles’ 400-yard freestyle ‘D’ relay, which finished in a time of 3:15.74. The sophomore totaled six points during the Eagles’ 197-77 loss to the Yellow Jackets. Baker and the Emory men finished the 2012-13 dual meet season with a 1-6 record, with all seven meets coming against NCAA Division I, II or NAIA schools, including three against SEC or ACC opponents.
