Prior to Emory:

Swam on the Dos Pueblos High School team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during his senior year... Helped his team to the Channel League Championship all four years... His squad was undefeated in dual meets during his time on the team... Was named the team's Most Valuable Swimmer in 2010, the Most Inspirational Swimmer in 2008, and won the Coach's Award in 2007... Swam career best times of 1:44 in the 200-yard freestyle, 4:39 in the 500-yard freestyle, and 53.3 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke... Qualified for the Short Course Junior Nationals... Coached in high school by Chris Parrish, and by John Dussliere on his club team.

Born October 27, 1991... Sister is a swimmer at Tufts University.
