Emory University sophomore Jared Scheuer recorded an NCAA ‘B’ cut time during the third-ranked Eagles’ dual meet against the University of Georgia, the sixth-ranked NCAA Division I team.  Scheuer recorded a time of 1:53.01 in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing third in the event.  The mark was the best this season by an Eagle in the event, and good for an NCAA provisional qualifying time.  He also swam the backstroke leg of the Eagles’ 400-yard medley relay team, which finished seventh in a time of 3:36.08 (including a 53.78 split from Scheuer) and the third leg of Emory’s seventh-place 200-yard freestyle relay team, which recorded a mark of 1:30.42 (including a 22.86 split from Scheuer).  Despite the performance from the sophomore, the Eagles dropped a 137-73 decision to the Bulldogs.
