Emory University sophomore Mitchell Cooper won a pair of individual events and a relay to help lead the Eagles to a dual meet win at Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday.  Cooper was victorious in the 400-yard individual medley with an NCAA ‘B’ cut time of 4:05.25 in the event.  He added an individual first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:40.89, and swam a second-leg split of 1:43.60 on the Eagles’ winning 800-yard freestyle relay team (7:01.12).  Cooper’s effort helped the Eagles to a 163.5-95.5 win over the Panthers, as the team raised its record to 1-1 on the year.
