The Emory University swimming & diving teams began to turn their attention towards championship season this weekend, sending a group of swimmers to the Auburn Invitational looking to boost their times while compete against athletes from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, LSU and host AU across the two-day meet.

The Eagles showcased numerous strong performances during the three sessions, posting a total of 20 times under NCAA B Cut standards while going up against top competition from the Power-5 schools.

Sophomore Anderson Holcomb highlighted the men's team with three NCAA B Cuts, lowering his best time in both the 200 IM (1:50.51) and 400 IM (3:56.80) while touching just behind his seed time in the 200 Breast at 2:00.43. Sophomore Jason Amato and senior Willem Goedecke each had a pair of NCAA B Cuts with Amato going under his previous top times in both the 400 IM (3:56.75) and 200 Fly (1:50.73) while Goedecke shaved .36 off his 200 Back mark with a time of 1:49.07 to go along with his team-leading 1:39.54 in the 200 Free.

Junior Chris Dieffenthaller joined Amato and Goedecke as Emory men with two NCAA B Cuts at the meet, lowering his 100 Breast time to 55.81 as he finished behind senior Tyler Russell (54.89) and behind Holcomb in the 200 Breast at 2:01.40. For the Emory women, sophomore Rosalie Gaudiani turned in two of the team's three NCAA B Cuts, leading the Eagles in the butterfly events with times of 55.71 in the 100 and 2:04.96 in the 200. Borjigin would add team-leading marks in both the 500 Free (5:02.95) and 100 Free (51.88).

Following the conclusion of the Auburn Invitational Saturday morning, several Eagles took part in the AU First Chance meet that followed with the team registering six additional NCAA cuts.
