Senior Dillon Pottish helped the Emory tennis team to a defense of its ITA National Indoor title, posting a 3-0 record at No. 1 singles along with a 2-1 mark at No. 1 doubles. Ranked as the No. 1 singles player in Division III, Pottish topped Amrik Donkena of Gustavus Adolphus in three sets in the Eagles’ 8-1 win in their first match. In the semis against Kenyon College, Pottish topped Paul Burgin in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0, and joined forces with Chris Goodwin earlier to notch a 9-7 triumph at No. 1 doubles. In the team’s 7-2 win in the championship match vs. No. 6-ranked UC-Santa Cruz, Pottish and Goodwin came away with an 8-6 triumph in doubles and he later clinched the match for the Emory with a 7-5, 6-2, win over Devin Nerenberg.
