Pottish To Play For NCAA D-III Men's Tennis Singles Championship

Emory University's Dillon Pottish will play in the title match  of the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Singles Championships after emerging victorious in a pair of matches on Friday.  The Championships are being held in Cary, NC, with Meredith College serving as the host institution.
Pottish, the No. 1 seed in the 32-player field, opened the second day of action with a 6-1, 6-3 quarterfinal-round  triumph over Luis Rattenhuber of Amherst before earning a decisive 6-1, 6-0, verdict in the semifinals against Rob Crampton of Bates College.    Pottish, 33-3 on the year, will meet either Nicholas Ballou of Cal Lutheran or Mike Razumousky of Kenyon College in the championship on Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 am.

Pottish's appearance in the finals will mark the fourth straight year that Emory will be represented in the battle for the singles crown.  Michael Goodwin captured the championship in 2009 with his younger brother Chris earning a spot in the finals the following year before taking home the top spot  in 2011.
