Emory Men's Tennis Wins Stag-Hen Invitational

The No. 1-ranked Emory men's tennis team enjoyed a successful trip to California, coming through with three victories that enabled the Eagles to win the Stag-Hen Invitational.  Emory defeated three of the top-11 ranked programs over the weekend, starting with a 6-3 decision over No. 6 Case Western on Friday, followed by a 6-3 triumph over No. 11 Pomona-Pitzer and 7-2 verdict over No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday. The Eagles have won their last eight and post a spring record of 9-2.

Senior Rafe Mosetick, the No. 2-ranked singles player in D-III, won all three of his No. 1 singles matches, including an impressive 6-1, 6-3 triumph over Claremont's Skyler Butts, the No. 3-ranked player. Mosetick's three victories upped his overall record to 15-5 on the year. In addition, Mosetick and doubles partner Jonathan Jemison compiled a 3-0 mark at No. 2, raising their record to 8-2.  Junior Aman Manji provided Emory with consistent singles play at No. 3, winning all three of his outings, including a grinding 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, battle over Pomana-Pitzer's Jonathan Kim who entered the weekend as the No. 47-ranked D-III singles player.

Emory returns to action next Sunday (Mar. 20) when it hosts Millsaps over at the SAAC Courts at 11:00 am, before returning to the Woodruff PE Center for a scheduled 2:00 pm match against Centre College.
