Emory senior Rafe Mosetick (Hinsdale, IL) has been named the University Athletic Association Men's Tennis Player of the Week after helping the No. 1-ranked Eagles to wins over Millsaps College and Centre College. It is the fourth time during the 2015-16 season and sixth time in his career that he has garnered the award.
Mosetick, the No. 2-ranked singles player in D-III, was one of two Eagles to compete in singles in both matches, winning at the No. 1 spot over Diego Marti-Vertiz of Millsaps, 6-4, 6-1, and Logan Henize of Centre, 6-0, 6-0. Rafe now owns an overall singles ledger of 17-5.
Mosetick also notched a win at doubles, teaming with freshman Jonathan Jemison for an 8-0 verdict over the Millsaps duo of Josh Shearin and Cooper Cearly, boosting their spring slate to 9-2.
The Eagles return to action on Wednesday (Mar. 23) when they host No. 38-ranked Kalamazoo College at 2:00 pm.
