Emory Men's Tennis Falls To NAIA Power Georgia Gwinnett

After a nine-day break from competition, the Emory men's tennis team returned to action on Tuesday where it came out on the short end of a decision to Georgia Gwinnett College.  The No. 1-ranked program in the NAIA ranks, the Grizzlies raised their record to 15-0 following an 8-1 decision over the Eagles who saw their 12-match win streak come to an end while seeing their overall record dip to 13-3.

Freshman Jonathan Jemison accounted for Emory's lone point of the day, posting a 2-6, 7-6, 10-8 win at No. 2 singles over Kevin Konfederak. The victory was his team-leading 19th of the season in 23 decisions (10-2 spring).

Emory returns to action on Tuesday, April 12, when it welcomes crosstown foe Oglethorpe University to the Woodruff PE Center for a 2:00 pm match.
