Emory University sent one participant, Rob Leventhal, to the NCAA Division III national outdoor track & field championships.
Leventhal, a sophomore, finished 14th out of 16 competitors in the 800-meter run. He ran a time of one minute and 54.75 seconds, his sixth fastest of the season. Leventhal recorded the team's top nine times in the event this season.
This is the eighth time in 12 years that an Emory athlete has competed at the NCAA outdoor championships in the 800 run.
The team finished 66th in the final power ratings compiled by the U.S. Track Coaches Association. The ratings measure a quality of a team's depth.
Emory placed fifth at the University Athletic Association outdoor championships, ending a streak of five consecutive years in first or second place.
The Eagles had one individual and one relay champion at the conference outdoor meet. A total of eight all-conference performances (top-three finish) were attained by Emory.
