Emory University junior Ben Euwer was the Eagles’ top finisher in four events at the Gem of the Hills Invitational last weekend.  Euwer won the hammer throw with a distance of 46.17 meters, besting the rest of the field of six competitors.  He later finished second out of 15 competitors in the shot put with a throw of 13.29 meters.  Euwer also placed fourth in both the discus throw (39.14 meters) and the javelin throw (46.06 meters) during the meet.  He scored 28 of the Eagles’ 103 points at the Invitational, helping the squad to a third-place finish out of 15 teams.
