Junior Shane Sullivan improved upon his school record time in the 5000m Run as the Emory University Track and Field teams were in action on day one of the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central College in Naperville, IL.
Sullivan posted a time of 14:24.23, eclipsing his previous school record of 14:28.05 that he set at the Raleigh Relays in March. He placed sixth overall in the event.
Senior Sophie Cemaj also represented the Blue and Gold Thursday night, clocking in a time of 39:03.21 to finish 21st in the 10000m Run.
Several other Eagles will be competing at the Invitational as day two gets underway Friday afternoon.
