On the field for the men, freshman Henry Brandstadter showed out in his first collegiate meet finishing in second place in the long jump with a distance of 7.20m. Brandstadter's distance of 7.20m established a new program record beating out national champion Troy Thompson's mark of 7.18m set all the way back in 1993. Brandstadter's mark would have placed him 15th in the nation in Division III last year according to TFFRS.

Elsewhere on the field for the men, junior Kenya Sei had a standout day of his own establishing a new personal best in the weight throw with a distance of 15.83m which is the third best mark in program history. Freshman Steven Ditelberg recorded a top ten finish in the pole vault, placing seventh as a result of reaching a height of 4.15m.

On the track for the men, sophomore Jackson Price had a spectacular day qualifying for the semi-final heat of the 60m dash with a time of 6.99 seconds which is the fourth fastest time in program history. Sophomore Sam Ryba finished just behind Price registering a time of 7.05 seconds which also qualified him for the semi-final heat. Ryba also paced the team in the 200m dash where he recorded a time of 27.43 seconds which saw him finish in 12th place. Junior Dawit Dean, sophomore Chris Belz and sophomore Tristan Moore turned in back-to-back-to-back finishes in the 800m run which saw them each finish within a second and a half of one another and put each of them within the top eight finishers.

On the field for the women, graduate transfer Nyjah Willis came in ready to perform as she registered a fifth place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 15.33m which stands as the tenth farthest mark in the history of the team. Junior Clementine Bodus showed out on both the track and the field as she recorded the fastest time of all of the Eagles in the 60m hurdles at 9.17 seconds to qualify for the semi-final heat while on the field she posted a distance of 5.18m in the long jump to finish in ninth position.

On the track, junior Libby Ranocha notched a new personal record in the 800m run with a time of 2:18.78 which saw her place on the podium in the bronze medalist position. Sophomore Audrey Johnson proved to be a multi-faceted athlete for the Eagles establishing a new PR of 7.94 in the 60m dash to qualify for the semi-final heat while also registering a distance of 10.70m in the triple jump which also marked a new personal best. Of the six Eagles competing in the 200m dash, sophomore Dashiel Tao Harris led the bunch with a time of 26.12 seconds which bested her All-Region time from last season.

The Eagles will enjoy their winter break before returning to action back in Birmingham, AL for their very own Emory CrossPlex Showdown on Sunday, January 15th.
