The Emory University track and field program has announced the appointment of Jordan Anunike as the newest assistant coach.

Anunike comes from John Carroll University where she previously served as the assistant coach and most recently served as the recruiting and logistics coordinator. Prior to being an assistant, Anunike attended John Carroll as a graduate assistant while also serving in the USTFCCCA Female Coaching Mentorship Program.

After competing as a team captain at the University of Toledo, Anunike headed to John Carroll University to receive her Master of Arts in Biology. During her time there, she was honored with four OAC Coaching Staff of the Year selections with both cross country and track and field. She helped coach 124 All-OAC selections during the indoor and outdoor track seasons and her teams saw six runner-up finishes at the OAC Championships. During her first indoor track season, she helped coach the Blue Streak women to their first OAC title in program history.

She officially began her duties with the Eagles on January 3.
