Karl Nyholm joined the Emory University track & field coaching staff prior to the start of the 2022 indoor season after previously serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach with St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY.

Prior to his stint with the Saints, Nyholm was a three-year captain of the track & field team at Colby-Sawyer College. A 2018 graduate, he was a three-time All-Region performer and a two-time North Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Year. He was a three-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee on campus, and was awarded the Colby-Sawyer Outstanding Male Senior Athlete Award in 2018. He spent two semesters interning in the strength and conditioning departments at Franklin Pierce and the University of New Hampshire, and volunteered a Kearsarge Regional High School track meets.
