Senior (2003):
The senior co-captain earned all-region honors for the second time and all-state honors for the first time. He finished among the top 10 runners overall in both the regional meet and the state championships. Brunfeldt ran a career best time of 26 minutes and 2 seconds at the Southeastern Classic. He finished among the top five for the Eagles in every race this season and had the fourth-fastest season average time on the team. He also earned the team's Coaches' Award.
Junior (2002):
He made his first ever all-region team with a 17th-place finish at NCAA regionals. He ran a career best time of 26 minutes and 13 seconds at the Auburn (Ala.) Invitational. Brunfeldt finished every race among the top six for the Eagles and had the fifth-best season average time for the team.
Sophomore (2001):
He finished no lower than eighth on the team and broke into the top five twice, including his best finish of the season at the UAA Championships. His time there was 26 minutes and 48 seconds. His ninth-place finish at the Sewanee Invitational was his best overall of the season.
Freshman (2000):
He finished no lower than ninth on the team and broke into the top seven twice, including his best time of the season at the University of Alabama Classic. His time there was 27 minutes and 5 seconds. His best finish came at the NCAA regional meet where he placed 39th out of 135 runners.
