Senior (2003):

The senior made the all-region time for the first time. He ran a career best time of 26 minutes and 25 seconds at the Southeastern Classic. He finished among the top six runners for the Eagles in every race this season and had the fifth-best season average time on the team. Marren received the Most Improved Runner award for the team.  He lowered his season average time by more than a minute and a half from 28:59 last season to 27:22 this year.

Junior (2002):

He ran a season best time of 27 minutes and 32 seconds at the Auburn Invitational. He ran for the Eagles at the NCAA National Championships and placed 7th for the team. His best overall place came at the Sewanee Invitational where he finished 15th.

Sophomore (2001):

His best time of the season came at the Georgia State Invitational where he ran 27 minutes and 30 seconds. He entered the top seven for the first time at the NCAA National Championships where he was the 7th man for Emory. His 13th place finish at the Sewanee Invitational was his best overall finish of the season.

Freshman (2000):

His best time of the season came at the University of Alabama Classic, where he ran 28 minutes and 33 seconds. His top overall finish came at the Georgia Collegiate Championships, where he placed 73rd and his top team finish came at the Vanderbilt Invitational where he broke into the top ten for the Eagles.
