Senior Tommy Fyffe turned in a sterling performance in helping the Eagles' men's cross country team to a second-place finish out of 11 teams at the Sewanee Invitational.
Fyffe topped the 123-runner field with an 8K time of
25:36. His performance spearheaded an Emory effort that
saw it place three runners among the top eight finishers.
Emory totaled 50 points at the Invitational and trailed only
Division I member Mississippi State's top mark of 24 points.
Emory returns to action on Sept. 19 when it competes at the UGA
Invitational in Athens.
