Senior Charlie Meade helped the Eagles to a
first-place finish at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional
Championships last weekend. Meade paced the Emory pack and
finished third overall out of 174 runners with an 8K time of 26:38.
Meade's effort enabled him to earn all-region honors for the third
straight year and marked the third time this season in five races
that he ranked as the team's top performer. Emory finished
the South/Southeast Regionals with 33 points, easily outdistancing
runner-up Lynchburg's total of 102 points.
The Eagles' No. 1 finish at Regionals clinched an automatic spot in
next Saturday's NCAA Championships in Cleveland.
