Took part in four competitions ... Best 8K time was a29:03 at the University of the South Invitational (Sept. 5) that placed him 50th out of 123 runners ... Also ran at the UGA Invitational (Sept. 19), Foothills Invitational (29:08) and quaker Invitational (Oct. 17).

Prior to Emory: Earned three letters as a member of the cross country and track and field programs at Berea High School ... Was coached by Barb Hunter ... Best 5K time was 17:10 as a senior ... Ran a 4:42 in the 1,600 meters ... Also played baseball and golf while in high school.

Personal: Born March 13, 1991 ... Was valedictorian of his high school class
