Ran in four competitions ... Best 8K showing took place at the Royal Cross Country Challenge when he finished in 29:02 ... Recorded a time of 29:04 in the season-opening Sewanee Invitational, good for 41st place out of 104 runners ... Also took part in the Berry College Invitational and JSU Foothills Invitational.

High School:
Competed on the cross country and track and field programs at Pine Crest High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL ... Was coached by Kathy Halligen ... Top 5K time as a senior was 16:28 .... Helped his cross country squad to a district title in 2009 ... As a member of the track team, he ran the 3200, 1600 and 800 meters ... Top 800 meter effort was 1:58 ...  Also played on the baseball team
