Sophomore Edward Mulder, competing in his first meet as an Eagle after transferring from Purdue University, helped Emory to a second-place finish out of 11 teams at the season-opening Sewanee Invitational. Mulder was the squad’s top finisher and cross the finish line in seventh place out of 118 entries with an 8K time of 27:44. Mulder was one of three Emory runners to finish among the top 10 as the Eagles posted a team score of 60 points, second only to Division I member Mississippi State’s 24 points.
